The Best Team Ever

At Green School, there was going to be a big tennis competition. All the students were talking about it. Alex loved tennis, and his best friend Jack did too.

"Let's make a team together!" said Alex.

"Yes! We could practice every day after school," Jack answered with a smile.

For two weeks, Alex and Jack practised in the school gym and the sports centre every afternoon. At first, they dropped the ball many times and felt tired. But slowly, they improved. They learned how to hit harder and move faster.

Then the big day came. Alex and Jack were worried but excited. They played well and won their first two matches.

Then it was the last match against Tom and Sam - the best players in the school! All the students came to watch. The gym was very loud and full of people.
