The Adventure in the Forest

It was Saturday morning. Alex and his friends wanted to do something interesting. "Let's explore the forest near our school!" said Alex.

His cousin Lily came too. They took water, snacks, a map, and some flashlights. The forest was huge and beautiful, but a little foggy. There were tall trees everywhere.

They walked for twenty minutes and saw birds and insects. Suddenly, Lily said, "Look! What's that in the tree?"

Everyone looked up. It was a monkey! The monkey had brown fur and a long tail. It jumped from tree to tree. It was unusual to see a monkey here!

"Let's follow it!" said Alex. The children ran after the monkey and went deeper into the forest. The monkey was very fast!

After ten minutes, the monkey disappeared. The children stopped and looked around. No-one else was there - they were alone.

"I don't know this place. Perhaps we're very far from school!" said Lily.

Everyone was worried. It was a horrible feeling.

Then Lily remembered something. "We have a map!" she said.

They sat down and looked at the map together. Alex found a river on the map. "Listen! I can hear water. The river is near us!"

They followed the sound and found the river. Then they used the map to walk back. After thirty minutes, they saw their school! Everyone was so happy. It was a scary adventure, but they did it together!

Our Adventure

Last Saturday, my friends and I went on a trip to a hill near our houses. We tried to cycle up the hill, but it was too difficult, so we soon got off and pushed our 21.1 instead!
