The Robot Competition

George and David were excited about the school robot competition. They needed to build robots which could help people.
"Let's make a robot that picks up paper at school!" George said to David. "It can help keep our school clean!"
For three weeks, the boys worked at George's house every afternoon. Their robot was called "Clean-Bot". They used old parts from their broken toys, an old fridge, and their parents' old motorbikes. They gave Clean-Bot wheels to move and a special arm to pick things up.
They used Clean-Bot in the living room and the garden. Sometimes it was too slow. Sometimes the arms didn't move. But they always worked together to repair it.
In the end, the competition day arrived! Ten different teams showed their robots. Some robots watered trees, some moved books, and some turned off lights. All the robots were good!
George put Clean-Bot on the floor carefully. The robot started to move to pick up a piece of paper. Suddenly, it went too fast and fell over! Its arm broke!
Everyone laughed loudly, so the boys felt terrible.
But Mrs. White stood up and clapped. "Wait, everyone! This team worked so hard and they had a really good idea to help our school. That is the most important thing!" she said.
