I went to the cupboard to get my white shirt for school, but it wasn't there. "Oh no!" I thought. I searched - under my bed, in all the bathrooms, and even in the washing box downstairs. Nothing! I was getting really .
Just then, my little brother Sam came into my room and started laughing.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
He behind me and said, "Look at your chair!"
I turned around, and there it was. My white shirt was on the chair! I was very tired after football practice, so I perhaps threw my shirt there and then put my right on top of it.
Sam and I both laughed loudly! My shirt was right there all morning!
Of course, after that, I couldn’t catch the school bus. But I was still lucky because Dad wasn’t angry and to drive me to school. "Next time, see your chair first!" he said in the car.

The Small Kitten
One afternoon, Lucy was walking home from school in the rain when she heard a small sound behind a big tree. She stopped and looked around carefully. There, in the wet grass, she saw a small white kitten. It was all wet and looked very cold.
She carefully picked up the kitten and put it in her scarf to help it feel warm. Lucy walked to the houses near the tree and asked about its home.

Her parents agreed. Lucy used a towel to dry the kitten and gave it some warm milk. The next morning, they took it to the pet hospital. The doctor said it was fine.
