One day, Sophia's school had a special competition. Students could make their clothes and show them to others. Sophia was very excited! She wanted to make a dress for the competition. She remembered a favorite dress from last year - a beautiful blue dress with white flowers.

"Mom, can you teach me how to make a dress?" Sophia asked.

"Yes, of course!" Mom answered.

Every afternoon after school, Sophia learned to use the machine. It was very difficult at first. She hurt her fingers sometimes and felt sad, but she worked harder.

Sophia practiced every day, and Mom helped her a lot. After three weeks, she finished the dress. Mom was very pleased with it.

On competition day, Sophia wore the dress on stage. Everyone clapped loudly! The teachers loved Sophia's dress very much.

"Excellent work," the art teacher said. "You should keep learning and make more beautiful dresses like this."

The worst thing happened when I got home. I tried to bake a cake for my mum, but it tasted horrible. I think I didn't put sugar in it – I put salt ! My mum laughed and said we could make cake next time.

What a bad day! I hope tomorrow will be better.
