The Science Project

Anna and Jack were in the same class at school. Their teacher, Mr. Brown, gave them a science project to do together. They had two weeks to finish it.

"Let's make a model rocket!" Anna said. "We can explain how rockets fly into space!"

But Jack shook his head. "No, I want to make a robot! Robots are more interesting," he said.

They talked and talked about the project, but they couldn't agree. They felt angry because they didn't like the same things for their project.

The next day, they went to Mr. Brown. "We have a problem," Anna said. "We can't decide what to make."

Mr. Brown smiled. He asked them, "What do you both like? Think about it and choose."

Anna and Jack thought and talked carefully. Then Jack said, "We both love the environment. What about a project on cleaning dirty water?"

"That's a great idea!" Anna agreed.

They worked together every day after school. They made a machine which used stones, sand, and other things. The machine could clean dirty water and make it safe to use when there was no clean water in the house.

At school, everyone loved their project! The teachers were very pleased. Anna and Jack got a special present from a teacher!

"We make a great team!" Anna said happily. Jack smiled and agreed.
