Dad and His Computer

On Sunday afternoon, Dad sat at his desk in the living room and looked at the old computer. It was very slow. When he opened something, he had to wait five minutes! "This computer is too slow," Dad said. "I will repair it today!"

Dad watched a video on his phone called "How to Make Your Computer Fast." He watched it twice and said, "Easy! I can do this!"

First, Dad deleted many files, from photos to videos. "I don't need these!" he said. But the computer was still slow.

Then Dad opened the computer. "Perhaps it is dirty inside," he thought. He blew air into the computer. Dust went everywhere - on the desk, on the floor, and on Dad's face! 

After two hours, Dad closed the computer and turned it on. The computer made a loud sound: "BEEP!" Then the screen went black. Nothing happened.

Mom walked into the room. "How is the computer?" she asked.

Dad smiled nervously. "Well... it's not slow now!"

Mom looked at the black screen. "Because it doesn't work now!" she laughed.

Dad's face went red. Just then, Tom walked in with Uncle Peter. Peter was a computer engineer. He looked at the computer and smiled. "Let me see," he said. He opened the computer and did something. Then the computer started to work again! Everyone looked surprised.

 "The computer is clean now, but it's quite old," Peter said. "I changed some parts, so now it will be faster."

I had a lot of fun in the snow today with my friends. We carried our sledges to the top of the hill and rode them down to the 21.1. It was so exciting!
