Penguins

Penguins are friendly birds and enjoy in big groups. They live in cold places, some kinds of penguins live in warmer places.

it is time to have babies, the mother and father penguin work together. The father keeps their egg warm on his feet for about two months. When the baby appears, both parents look  it. After a few months, the young penguin swim and find its food.

Emma's Week at the Café

Emma's aunt had a small café in town. Sometimes Emma came to help on weekends. She usually brought drinks to tables, cleaned tables, and washed cups. She enjoyed helping, but she never made coffee before.

Last month, David, who worked at the café, got sick. Emma had to work there all week, right after school. Her aunt was very busy and asked, "Can you try to make coffee?" Emma felt scared but said, "I'll try hard!" For the first few days, Emma practiced making coffee. She made mistakes - sometimes there was too much coffee and sometimes too much milk. But then she got better slowly.

On Friday afternoon, a famous journalist came to the café to write a story about it for the newspaper! Emma was worried because there was no one else there - her aunt went to the supermarket.

"One cappuccino, please," the journalist said.

Emma's heart went fast. She remembered everything her aunt taught her. She worked carefully. Finally, she brought the coffee to the table. The journalist drank it and smiled. "This is quite good!" he said. Emma felt so happy!

On Sunday, David came back to work. Emma had to go back to her schoolwork.

"Thank you for all your help!" her aunt said. Emma felt sad because she enjoyed working at the café.

Her aunt smiled. "You were wonderful, Emma. You can come back during the holidays!"
