Last weekend, Lucy and her younger brother, Oliver, visited Uncle Henry's farm. It was winter, so there was a lot of snow everywhere in the countryside. The children were wearing warm coats and boots. They were very excited and really wanted to help Uncle Henry with all his farm jobs.
Uncle Henry asked them to give some food to his chickens. The chickens lived in a large wooden building next to the house. Lucy carried a plastic bowl of food, and Oliver opened the door carefully. The chickens ate very quickly. After that, the children went outside again to play in the snow.
Suddenly, Oliver heard a strange noise behind a large green tractor. 'Listen!' he said quietly to Lucy. 'I think it's a little animal!' They looked behind the tractor and saw a grey kitten.
