Peter's bad day in the park
Last week, Peter was riding his bike in the park with his friends when he suddenly fell off. 'Ouch! My leg really hurts!' he shouted loudly. One of his friends quickly called an ambulance, and it took Peter straight to the city hospital.
When they arrived, a friendly doctor looked at Peter carefully. 'I am very sorry, but your leg is broken,' the doctor explained. 'You must stay in the hospital for a few days to rest.' Peter felt very bored in his hospital bed because he couldn't play video games there. But he soon felt much better because his classmates came to visit him every afternoon. They brought him a big puzzle and lots of funny comic books to read.
On Friday morning, the doctor looked at Peter's leg again and smiled. 'Your leg is getting much better. You can go home today, but you must not go swimming,' he said. Peter felt quite sad about that because summer was coming and he really loved the pool.
