Tom and Harry's beach trip

Tom and his younger brother, Harry, were very excited. Their parents decided to take them to the beautiful beach for the weekend. The family planned to travel there by train. But on Saturday morning, the weather was terrible. It was raining heavily when they put their bags into the car.

While Dad was driving to the railway station, the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. "Oh no!" Dad said. "We have a problem with a tyre." He had to stand outside in the cold rain to repair the wheel. It took a very long time. When the family finally arrived at the station, Mum looked at her watch. "We are fifteen minutes late," she said sadly. "Our train has already left."

Tom and Harry felt terrible and started crying. They really wanted to swim and play on the sand. Suddenly, they heard a loud voice in the station. It said, "The train to the beach is late because of the bad weather. Passengers can get on now." Mum was so surprised and happy. The family quickly ran to catch it.
