A surprising running race
Hello! I'm Betty. Yesterday morning, my family had a very exciting time. My younger brother, William, runs very fast. He was in a big running race in the park near his school. My parents and I wanted to go there to watch him. My little brother, George, is only three years old. We were getting ready to leave the house, but suddenly George started to cry. He wanted to take his helicopter with him to the park.
We spent a long time looking for it. First, we looked in George's bedroom, but the toy wasn't there. Then we found it under the cupboard in the kitchen. We left the house and walked to the park very quickly. We were late! When we arrived, the children were near the end of the race. We could see William. He was doing very well!
