Chopsticks
Chopsticks are special things that many people use for eating their meals. They were first made in Asia thousands of years (0) ago. Today, people in many countries use them every day. Most chopsticks are made of wood or bamboo, you can also find plastic and metal ones.
When you eat with chopsticks, you must hold both sticks in hand. You use your fingers to move them together to pick the food. It be a little difficult when you first try, but it gets easier when you practice. You must practice a lot to use well.
Chopsticks are excellent eating things like noodles, small pieces of meat, and vegetables. But you cannot use them to eat soup! You will need spoon for that.
When you go to a restaurant has this food, you will often see them on the table. There are some important things to remember, too. You should never your chopsticks at another person. It is fun how to eat with chopsticks!

The surprise welcome party
On Friday afternoon, Betty was very excited. Her older brother, Alex, was coming home from university for the summer holiday. Betty wanted to do something special, so she invited her friends from her street to have a fantastic welcome party. They had to work very fast because Alex's train was arriving soon and he would be home at five o'clock.
The children started working quickly. First, they got lots of blue and white balloons because those were Alex's favourite colours. They cleaned the living room and turned on some exciting pop music. Then, Betty carefully put a big chocolate cake on the small table. She wanted everything to be perfect. Betty closed all the curtains in the room to make it dark. She also put her naughty dog, Max, in the kitchen so he couldn't break the lovely balloons.
Suddenly, they heard a yellow taxi stop outside the house. The children quickly hid behind the sofa and waited quietly. The front door opened and Alex walked inside. He turned on the lights and smiled. "Hello everyone!" he said loudly. "Has the party started yet?" Betty walked out and looked very surprised. "How did you know about the party?" she asked. Alex laughed happily. "Because you put a huge poster with 'WELCOME ALEX' on the gate! Everyone in the street can see it!"
Because Alex was coming back from , Betty decided to have a special party.
