Alex and his sister, Daisy, wanted a secret place to play during the holidays. At the end of their garden, there was a big tree. It was the perfect place for a treehouse!

The school summer concert

Lily and her classmates were very excited about the school summer concert. Lily loved music and played the violin very well. For a month, she practiced her favorite song in her bedroom every evening because she wanted to play perfectly for her family. Her brother said it sounded amazing.

On Friday evening, the large school hall was full of parents and teachers. Lily stood quietly at the back of the large stage. She felt a little worried about playing. Suddenly, the violin fell out of her hands and hit the floor. It broke! Lily looked at her instrument and felt very sad. 'I can't play my song now,' she whispered, and she started to cry.

Mr. Davis, the music teacher, saw Lily's sad face and walked over to help. 'Don't worry, Lily,' he said kindly. 'Just wait here.' He quickly ran down the hall to the music room. A few minutes later, he came back with an old but beautiful violin. He gave the instrument to the little girl.

Lily smiled and walked out onto the stage. She played the music perfectly on the old violin. When she finished, everyone in the hall stood up and shouted happily. Her parents felt very pleased with her. After the concert, Lily said a big thank you to Mr. Davis. It was a fantastic evening!

It was Aunt Lucy's birthday yesterday, so she came and had lunch with us. The was warm, so we sat outside on the balcony. After lunch, we her our cards, and then we all walked to the new theatre in town. It is larger the old one. We watched a play "The Astronaut". In the first part of the story, a monster suddenly climbed out of a spaceship, so we were all very surprised! After the show, Aunt Lucy took us all her favourite coffee shop, and I had a strawberry ice cream there. It was a wonderful day!
