Fred's best friend, Oliver, was on a winter holiday in the mountains. Oliver sent Fred some pictures on his phone. The first picture was a photo of an enormous snowman. After that, Oliver sent a photo of someone jumping very high on a snowboard. Next to the photo, Oliver wrote, 'Look at this!' Fred looked at the snowboard and thought, 'I would like to do that, too.'
The next day, it snowed a lot in Fred's town. Fred took his board to the park with his younger brother, Ben. 'Let's go down that hill,' said Fred. 'No!' said Ben. 'It is too dangerous.' But Fred wasn't afraid because he put his board on the snow at the bottom of the hill. He jumped high in the air and Ben took a photo of him. 'You can show this picture to Oliver,' Ben laughed.
A week later, Oliver came back to school. Fred showed his friend the photo on his phone. 'Look at me on my board,' Fred said. 'Did you jump high in the mountains, too?' 'I was too afraid,' answered Oliver. 'You didn't jump on your snowboard? I don't believe it!' Fred shouted. 'No,' Oliver explained. 'I only took a picture of a young man on one. I didn't jump.' Fred laughed loudly and said, 'Me too! I just jumped up from the ground. I didn't go down the hill!'
