David and his parents arrived in London for their summer holiday. They were very excited. After they walked out of the airport, they caught a taxi and went straight to their hotel.

Last weekend, Richard's parents took him to a big art museum in the city centre. Richard felt very bored and sleepy because he thought the old paintings were not interesting. "They just stay in one place and never move," he thought unhappily. While his parents were looking at some old objects, Richard walked away and went down a very quiet hall.
At the end of the hall, there was a huge painting of a young girl. Suddenly, Richard was very surprised! The girl in the picture smiled and waved. "Hello there! Come and chat with me," she said kindly. "My name is Betty." Richard couldn't believe it, but he answered her. Betty told him all about her busy life on a farm hundreds of years ago. She also explained how a famous artist painted her beautiful picture.
Richard thought her story was fantastic. He asked her lots of questions and forgot the time. A few minutes later, his parents found him. "Who are you talking to?" his mother asked. "The girl in this amazing painting!" Richard answered. His father laughed and pointed to a small door. A woman walked out and smiled. She was the actor! The painting was actually a computer screen. The museum used real actors to help children learn about art history in a fun way. "This is the best museum ever!" Richard said happily.
Richard felt because he thought the paintings were not interesting.
