Jim’s got a new bike for his birthday. The bike is red and he loves it. 

Last Sunday, Jim and Dad went to the park. Because he didn’t know to ride a bike, Dad taught him. Learning to ride was very . Jim got on the bike. He tried to ride it but he quickly on the ground. He was sad and his leg . Dad came to help him.

'Don't worry, it's OK,' Dad said. 'I can hold the back of the bike. Now, let’s do it again!'

Maps

A map is a drawing of a place. It got many colours, so you can read it easily. There many kinds of maps. A world map shows all the countries. A city map shows roads, parks, and houses. A school map shows classrooms and the playground. People use maps to places. A map can show the way to any place that they want. When people go on holiday, they can use a map to see the place you are.  Some maps are small, and some are big. People can read maps on paper or on phones.

Look at the pictures and read the story. Write some words to complete the sentences about the story. You can use 1, 2 or 3 words.

A visit to the hospital

Last Wednesday, Peter played in the forest near his house. The weather was sunny, and the birds sang well. He loved to climb the big, tall trees and look at the sky through the green leaves. Suddenly, Peter fell to the ground.
'Oh no!' he shouted. 'My arm hurts!' He started to cry loudly.
His dad heard him and ran quickly to help. 'What’s the matter, Peter?' he asked. Peter showed his arm. It looked red and it hurt.
