Snails

A snail is a small animal that you can often find a garden.  It can be brown, yellow, or white. A snail has got two long eyes on top of its head. It hasn't got legs, and it moves very slowly on the ground. Snails like wet places, so you can see them after it . They eat leaves, fruit, and vegetables. A snail’s shell is its home. It carries the shell on its back. When it is too hot or dry, snails hide in their shells to safe and cool. Some people keep snails as pets, but live outside.

A day at the lake

Ben and his older brother, Tom, visited their grandparents in the countryside last weekend.
There was a big lake behind their grandparents’ house. On Saturday morning, they wanted to go fishing.
'I think we can sail the little boat,' said Tom.
'Okay!' said Ben. He felt very brave.
They took their fishing things and got into a small blue boat. Ben sat at the back and used two sticks to move the boat to the middle of the lake.
