Last weekend, Sally woke up and looked out of the window. Everything was white! There was a lot of snow on the ground.

Hippos
Hippos are very big animals. bodies are grey. They have got small eyes, big mouths and short legs. They live in rivers and lakes in hot countries. Hippos like in the water during the day because it keeps them cool. When the sun goes down, they come out the water. They can walk far from the water to find the food. They eat grass and plants. Hippos can walk under the water, they cannot swim well. Hippos live in groups. A group of hippos can have ten or more. People can see them in books, pictures, or the zoos.

The pink sweater

One Saturday morning, Tom wanted to help his mum.
'Can I wash the clothes?' he asked.
'Yes, of course. Be careful,' Mum said.
Tom took all the dirty clothes to the washing machine. He put in a white sweater, some white socks, and his white T-shirt. Then, he saw his favourite red scarf on the floor. He put that in the machine, too.
