Last Tuesday, after school, Peter went to find his cat, Sam. But he couldn't find her in the living room or in the kitchen.

He went outside to the . He looked behind the big tree and under the flowers. Sam was not there. Peter got frightened because Sam could do things.

He went to tell his dad. ‘Dad, I can’t find Sam!’

‘Don’t worry,’ said Dad. ‘It can sleep all night in any place.’

Snakes

All snakes have a long body and legs. They move quietly on the ground with their bodies. They haven't got ears, they can feel sounds through the ground. They can be green, brown, or yellow. Some live in the water, and some live on the land. You can find snakes in forests and fields. There many different kinds of snakes, and they can be big or small. The biggest snakes are than a car. The smallest snakes are short like a pencil. Snakes eat frogs, mice, or small birds. They catch food with mouths. Snakes are interesting to learn about because they are very different from other animals.

Julia lived in a big, tall building in the city. Her family’s home was on the top floor, and they had a beautiful view of the city. Julia loved living there because she could see everything from the windows.
One morning, she wanted to go to the shop with her dad. It was a sunny day, and Julia was excited to get some sweets.
'Let’s take the stairs,' Julia said.
'No, it’s too far,' Dad laughed. 'Let’s take the lift instead.'
