Paul was very excited about the weekend. He put on his favourite black trousers and a warm sweater. He brushed his quickly in the bathroom. He really wanted to visit his uncle who lived in a different town. His uncle always made hot chocolate for Paul, and he drank hot . Paul took his red helmet and his new bike to his uncle's house. But when he got there, the big green was closed. He called his uncle's name loudly, but his uncle was not there. Paul was a little sad and cold. Where was his uncle? Then, he looked behind him. His uncle was standing there with a big shopping bag! "Hello, Paul! I went to the supermarket to buy some nice cakes for us!" his uncle said. Paul because he was so happy to see him. They went inside to eat.

Bears

Bears are big, strong animals that live in many places in the world. Some live in cold mountains, and some live in hot jungles. There are eight different kinds of bears, but kind has got a lot of hair and a short tail. Bears that live in cold places have a lot when it snows. They find a safe place inside big rocks or under the ground, and sleep there for a long time. When the weather is sunny again, they wake to find food. They look for sweet fruit in trees, and they go into rivers to catch fish. Some bears eat grass, but many bears love eating meat, too. Sometimes, bears look very slow they walk. But they are not slow! Because they have got strong legs, they can run and climb trees very .

A Day at the Funfair

Last Saturday, Sam and his friend, Grace, went to the big funfair by bus. They were very happy because they wanted to play games there. Sam and Grace both enjoyed drawing pictures of funny people. Sam drew his pictures in a red book and Grace drew hers in a green book. Near the games, they saw Clown Jim, a famous circus star! It was great to see him, and the children wanted to draw him.
