Jane and Paul

Last Tuesday was Fred's little cousin’s birthday. Fred washed his hair and put on his favourite clothes. Then, he and his mother walked outside to go to the city centre. It was a beautiful day and the was very hot.

Fred and his mother walked to the new toy . Fred wanted to find a great present for his cousin.

"Can we get a big animal?" Fred asked. He looked at some toy with big teeth.

His mother didn't like them. "She is only three, Fred. She doesn't like those animals. Let's find something different," she said.

Fred looked around the big room. "What can I buy?" he . Then, a small pink toy jumped off a table. It on the floor and stopped next to Fred's foot. It was a funny rabbit! Fred and his mother laughed loudly. 

"This is great! Mum, can we buy it, please?" Fred asked. His mother said yes. Then, they took the new toy to the party.

Horses are beautiful and strong animals which live in many different countries. They have got long hair on necks and long tails. They also have got strong legs, they can run very quickly. are many different kinds of horses in the world, and some can grow very tall. In the past, people horses to travel to different places. Now, people often ride them for fun. Horses must drink a lot of water every day. They do not eat meat. They only eat grass and plants. They love eating apples and carrots too!

The Silly Parrot

Sally and her classmate, Charlie, loved animals. Last Tuesday afternoon, they went to the city zoo with Sally’s big brother, Paul. The weather was very hot, so Paul bought three milkshakes and some chocolate ice cream from a small café inside the zoo. They walked to the monkey cages first because Sally wanted to see the baby monkeys. Charlie took a lot of photos with his new camera.

When they sat down on a seat under a big tree, Charlie couldn’t find his camera. "What’s the matter?" Paul asked. Charlie pointed at his empty yellow school bag and started to cry because he thought his camera was lost. Sally looked inside her handbag, but it wasn't there. Paul said, "Don't be sad! We must walk back to the café and find it."
