In the past, families had very roles with the father being the breadwinner and the mother taking care of the children and household. But nowadays, things have changed a lot. Families are more equal and everyone shares . Fathers are more involved in parenting and decision-making, while mothers have more opportunities to work outside the home. It's not uncommon to see fathers staying home with their children while the mother is at work. This change has allowed families more flexibility in how they divide tasks and responsibilities. It has also led to more diverse family structures. However, there are still some families who follow traditional gender roles, but it's becoming less common. Overall, the trend is towards more equal and balanced family structures where everyone can contribute and have their valued.

Light Pollution: A City Goes Dark for the Stars
On the evening of March 14th, 2021, the streets of a large city in northern Europe suddenly went dark. Normally, this only happens due to an electricity problem, but this time the city switched off its lights on purpose so residents could step outside and see the night sky - something nearly impossible in most cities because of light pollution.
Light pollution happens when light from streetlamps and buildings makes the night sky brighter than it should be. This causes several problems. Animals often sleep less because the extra light makes them think it's still daytime. Birds migrating to warmer regions in the fall rely on the moon and stars to navigate, but light pollution makes this harder. Insects and birds in cities are often drawn toward artificial lights at night, sometimes flying into buildings and dying as a result.
Light pollution affects people too. It can make it harder to fall asleep and can trigger headaches. It also means we no longer see the sky the way earlier generations once did. Because of this, most of us rarely witness one of nature's most stunning sights - the countless stars of the Milky Way. Hundreds of thousands of people have never seen it at all.
Fortunately, reducing light pollution doesn't take much effort. Simple habits, like turning off lights when they aren't needed or closing curtains at night, can make a real difference. With less light pollution, we could once again enjoy the beauty of the night sky.
The lights were switched off in the city on March 14th ______.

so that people could go outside and enjoy the fresh night air
