Subject: Field Trip Report
Hey Emily!
Hope you're doing well! I just wanted to follow up on our field trip to the zoo last week. It was so much fun, right? I took a bunch of notes and pics, and I'm really excited to share them with you.
I was thinking it would be great to work on our report together. We can go over my notes and pictures, and you can help me organize my thoughts and ideas. When are you free? Let's schedule a time that works for both of us.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Love,
Anna

Fabio was new at summer camp, and he did not like it at all. In fact, he hated every minute of it. On his first day, he and the other campers swam in a lake. The bottom of the lake felt squishy like mud between Fabio’s toes. He dashed out of the water when a fish nibbled at his knee.
Fabio’s second day started badly. The campers hiked through some woods. Dry twigs scratched Fabio's legs, and black bugs bit his arms. The stinky smell of a skunk made his eyes water. Fabio walked behind the others. He wished he were at home.
Then a boy named Cody started talking to Fabio. "Hey, you okay?" Cody asked, noticing Fabio's gloomy face.
Fabio sighed, "I don't like this camp. It's so icky and boring."
Cody grinned, "I felt the same way at first. But you know what? Tomorrow, let's try out for the camp softball team together. It's so much fun!"
Fabio thought the next day at camp would be fun, now that he had a friend to share it with.
Why did Fabio have to jump out of the lake?
What did NOT happen to Fabio on his second day at summer camp?
How did Fabio probably feel during the first two days at summer camp?
What did Cody suggest to Fabio to cheer him up?

Baseball teams use 90 new balls per game. The balls arrive shiny white but lose their shine before use. This is because shiny balls are slippery for pitchers and could hurt batters. So the balls are rubbed with special mud to make them safer to use. This mud is made and sold by one company. A crew digs up hundreds of pounds of mud from a secret location, rinses the mud to get rid of rocks, and adds secret ingredients to create a pudding-like texture. After six to eight weeks of maturing in barrels, the mud is sent to ballparks. One worker at each park takes care of the new balls. The worker adds water to a dab of mud and rubs it onto each ball. About an hour later, over 100 balls are ready for play.
Why do people rub baseballs with mud?
What is NOT true about the special mud for rubbing baseballs?
How long does it take the worker to finish rubbing over 100 balls with mud?
