Inventors are people who like to solve problems. They are and . They make mistakes, but they keep trying. Here are some famous inventors:
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519)
Leonardo da Vinci was a famous artist. He was also a great inventor. Da Vinci designed the helicopter, for scuba diving, and even the first robot! He lived a long time ago. Many of his inventions couldn't be built, but he designed them anyway.
Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
Benjamin Franklin was one of our Founding Fathers. He was also a scientist. Franklin invented things to make life easier. He invented bifocal glasses and the Franklin stove. He even invented a device to reach things on high shelves. Of course, you probably know that he also electricity!
Thomas Edison (1847-1931)
Thomas Edison was a telegraph . He invented more than 1000 things. Edison's most famous invention is the light . He also invented the phonograph and movies, too!
