This is a tale about Chase and Chet. Chase is a champ. Chase is the chess champ of her town. Chet is her pal. He came from his ranch to see Chase.

Chet sits on a bench to look for Chase. Chet says, "I want to be like Chase. I want to be a chess champ." Two pals sit with Chet on the bench. Chet chats about his wish. "I want to see Chase the chess champ. I wish to play," says Chet.

Now, Chet sees Chase by the bench. "I wish to play chess with you," Chet says. Chase wants to play. But she has a big game.

Chet and Chase make a plan to play at five. They tell the pals. It will be such fun. "I have no time to chat," says Chase. "I will see you at five." "Do not rush!" says Chet. "I will be here."

Chase comes to see Chet at five. Chase and Chet sit on the bench. Chase chats about the rules of the game. A bunch of pals come to see the game.

Chase helps Chet play chess. Chase and Chet play lots of games. Now Chet can play chess like a champ. He got his wish.
