Tet, or the Lunar New Year, is the most important holiday in Vietnam. The date of Lunar New Year is different every year, often around the mid-January to early February of the solar calendar. 

Before Tet, people often buy colorful flowers and trees to decorate their homes. They always prepare traditional foods like banh chung and banh tet for Tet as well. During Tet, there are many activities to welcome this holiday. You can see beautiful fireworks on the sky and parades with traditional clothes, dragon and lion dances on New Year's Eve. They also visit temples and pagodas to pray for luck in the coming year.
