The Green is a charity in our town. It was set up in 2018. People in this charity do many things to protect the environment. They always collect plastic bottles and cans on Sundays. People can drop off their bottles and cans in a bin instead of throwing them away. The charity goes to each house, picks them up and recycles them.
The Green also collects old clothes, bags, and glass jars. People can bring these things to donate for free in the community house opposite the bus station every day. The charity finds way to reuse them.
The charity helps protect wildlife too. They clean up trash from the park near the hospital and take care of animals in the zoo next to the train station every month.
