Many people probably used to spend time color to pictures in coloring books when they were children. However, once people get older, very few of them continue with the hobby. Instead, they put their crayons away in the cupboard forever.
, psychology researchers now think that even for adults, spending as little as ten minutes a day coloring pictures in this way can bring huge benefits. For example, some people say that it improves their for a while by making them feel cheerful and generally calmer.
One reason for this may be that other activities connected art, such as drawing or painting, can actually be quite stressful, especially if you don't feel very successful at it. But adding color to a picture that's already drawn for you requires only a low level of skill, so you can relax rather than become anxious about it!

Vietnam is a densely-populated, developing country that in the last 30 years has had to recover from the ravages of war. Substantial progress was achieved from 1986 to 1997 in moving forward from an extremely low level of development and significantly reducing poverty. Since 2001, Vietnamese authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to economic liberalization and international integration. They have moved to implement the structural reforms needed to modernize the economy and to produce more competitive, export-driven industries.
Vietnam’s membership in the ASEAN Free Trade (AFTA) and entry to force of the US-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement in December 2001 have led to even more rapid changes in Vietnam’s trade and economic regime. Vietnam’s exports to the US doubled in 2002 and again in 2003.
Vietnam joined the WTO (World Trade Organization) in January 2007, following over a decade long negotiation process. This should provide an important boost to the economy and should help to ensure the continuation of liberalizing reforms.
Vietnam is working to create jobs to meet the challenge of a labor force that is growing by more than one million people every year. A long time ago, most American entrepreneurs were men. Now, businesses owned by women account for more than $40 billion in annual revenues, and this figure is likely to continue rising throughout the 1990s. As Carolyn Doppelt Gray, an official of the Small Business Administration, has noted, "The 1970s was the decade of women entering management, and the 1980s turned out to be the decade of the women entrepreneurs".
What are some of the factors behind this trend? For one thing, as more women earn advanced degrees in business and enter the corporate world, they are finding obstacles. Women are still excluded from executive suites. Charlotte Taylor, a management consultant, had stated, "Despite an MBA and determination, women have found out that they cannot become chairman of the board, so they go out on their own".
In the past, most women entrepreneurs worked in "women's" fields: cosmetics and clothing, for example. But this is changing. Consider ASK Computer Systems, a $22-million-year computer software business. It was founded in 1973 by Sandra Kurtzig, who was then a housewife with degrees in math and engineering. When Kurtzig founded the business, her first product was software that let weekly newspapers keep tabs on their newspaper carriers and her office was a bedroom at home, with a shoebox under the bed to hold the company's cash. After she succeeded with that design, she hired several bright computer-science graduates to develop additional programs. When these were marketed and sold, ASK began to grow and now has 200 employees.
Now, women still face burdens in the business world, especially problems in raising money. Most businesses owned by women are now still quite small. But the situation is changing; there will be many more Sandra Kurtzig in the years ahead.
