Exploring the Wonders of Nature on Green Island

Last month, I visited Green Island, a small paradise known for its incredible natural beauty. This trip was an unforgettable adventure filled with amazing experiences.

The island has an active volcano that we explored on the first day. It was fascinating to learn how the lava flows have shaped the land over centuries. The ecosystem here is unique, with many native plants and animals. Learning about these rare species, which are found nowhere else in the world, made the visit even more special. One of the highlights was visiting the hot spring near the base of the volcano. After hiking in the freezing morning air, relaxing in the warm water felt amazing. The hot spring is believed to have healing properties, and I could even feel my stress melting away.

On the second day, we went snorkeling at the coral reef. The vibrant colors of the fish and coral were breathtaking. The guide explained how pollution can spread quickly and harm the reef, so protecting this delicate ecosystem is very important. Unfortunately, a quick shower of rain interrupted our snorkeling, but it didn’t last long. Afterward, the sun came out, and we continued exploring the beach, collecting shells and enjoying the sunshine.

For the best experience, plan your visit during the dry season, which lasts from November to April. During this time, the weather is ideal for exploring the island’s stunning landscapes and enjoying its outdoor activities under clear skies. To fully appreciate the island's pristine beauty, it’s crucial to treat its environment with care. Avoid littering and disturbing the native plants and wildlife. By doing so, we can ensure that future generations can also enjoy this paradise.
