Read the passage and decide if the following statements are True or False.

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating video games that bring joy and adventure to players worldwide. Becoming a game designer is my top goal, and I’ve mapped out a clear path to turn this passion into reality. I understand the challenges, but I’m ready to take them on with a solid plan.

The first step in my plan is to earn a degree in computer science with a focus on game development. This program will equip me with the technical skills needed to design engaging mechanics and build immersive digital worlds. Just as importantly, it will improve my teamwork and communication skills—key traits for collaborating with artists, writers, and developers in the gaming industry.

I’ve chosen to enroll at the School of Interactive Arts in California, famous for its game design program. There, I’ll participate in practical projects, create games from scratch, and improve them through feedback from peers and mentors. These experiences will teach me how to accept constructive criticism and refine my ideas, helping me grow into a more thoughtful and effective designer.

To build real-world experience, I plan to apply for an internship at a game studio during my studies. This will allow me to work with industry-standard tools, apply what I’ve learned in class, and develop a strong portfolio that showcases my abilities.

Success in game design requires careful planning and creativity. I’ll focus on my coursework, actively seek mentorship, and build connections in the field. With determination, I believe I can achieve my dream of becoming a game designer and inspire others to chase their passions too.

The writer is unsure about the challenges of becoming a game designer.

Teamwork and communication are considered just as important as technical skills in game design.

Receiving constructive feedback is seen as a harmful part of becoming a better game designer.

The writer expects to have professional experience in game studios right after graduating.

Networking is considered an important component of the writer's strategy for becoming a game designer.
