Read the following passage and choose the correct answer to each of the questions.
Two summers ago, I traveled to Da Lat with my mom and my older sister, Lily. While we were there, we visited Datanla Waterfall. The weather was cool and misty, but I was a bit grumpy because I don’t like hiking.
The waterfall seemed small from the parking lot, but as we got closer, I realized it was much taller and louder than I’d imagined. At first, I was thrilled to see a roller coaster that could take us down to the falls. But my mom insisted we walk the trail instead. She said, "This will help you appreciate nature, and the exercise is good for us."
As we walked, we spotted colorful butterflies and giant ferns unlike anything I’d seen before. Slowly, I understood my mom’s point. Even though my legs ached by the time we reached the bottom, the mist from the waterfall felt refreshing, and the sound of rushing water was calming. We took photos near the turquoise pool, and the jungle around us looked like something from a movie. There were even tiny squirrels darting around. Surprisingly, they were completely unafraid of humans. One bold squirrel even snatched a tourist’s banana peel and scurried up a tree.
To return to the top, we finally got to ride the alpine coaster. Lily and I shared a cart, and we flew down the turns so fast that her hat flew off! She screamed the whole way. Mom panicked and thought we’d crashed. But I loved every second and begged to go again.
It was an unforgettable trip, and I’d love to revisit Datanla someday. Next time, though, I’d pack a raincoat - and maybe convince Mom to try the roller coaster first.
