Read the passage and answer the questions.

Action movies are thrilling and fun to watch, but they often feature scenes involving great risk and danger. In the world of filmmaking, these risky actions are known as stunts. Who performs these stunts? This work is far too dangerous for regular actors, so movie companies typically hire professional stunt performers to take their place during unsafe scenes.

Movie producers are generally unwilling to let actors do their own stunts because of the high risk of injury, which could cause production delays. Stunt people are highly trained and experienced, allowing them to perform dangerous actions with minimal risk. It would take too much time to teach actors to perform these stunts safely, so using stunt professionals saves both time and effort.

Some thrill-seekers, like skydivers or rock climbers, might believe that working as a stunt performer would be easy. However, it's not enough to be a risk-taker. Stunt performers must also be prepared for anything to go wrong and know how to handle it.

Aside from risk-taking, stunt work requires a high level of physical fitness and careful planning. Although there are a few training programs for stunt performers, these programs usually offer only basic information. Most of the people attending such programs already have experience in high-risk activities like extreme sports, rescue work, or the military. Therefore, the best preparation for a stunt career involves training in a physically demanding and somewhat dangerous field.

Modern filmmaking techniques, like computer-generated imagery (CGI), have changed how some dangerous scenes are filmed. CGI allows filmmakers to create stunts that would be too risky or expensive for real stunt performers. Still, many audiences prefer seeing real people perform actual stunts, and the increasing number of made-for-TV movies ensures that stunt performers remain in high demand in the film industry.
