In my view, there is usually one necessary subject missing from most school timetables. Very few students are taught how to organize their learning and how to make the best use of their time. Let's have some simple examples. Do you know how to look up English words in the dictionary? And do you understand all the information the English dictionary contains? Can you take notes quickly, and can you understand them afterward?

For some reason, many schools give learners no help with these matters. Teachers ask students to memorize pages from books, tell them to write ten pages, or have them discuss in groups, but do not explain how to do it. Many British people don't think about clothes very much. They just like to be comfortable. When they go out to enjoy themselves, they can wear almost anything. At theatres, cinemas, and concerts you can put on what you like from elegant suits and dresses to jeans and sweaters. Anything goes, as long as you look clean and tidy.
