Blue Sky Cycling Holidays
Wondering where to go for your holidays this year? Tired of beach holidays? Looking for a holiday with a bit more zing? Are you ready to try something new? If your answer is 'yes' to these questions, then the solution is obvious: join us on a Blue Sky Cycling Holiday!
Get fit while you relax on holiday. Each cycling group is joined by two expert guides and tour leaders. As well as being great fun, they are qualified fitness trainers, so they will make sure you cycle in the right way. What you eat is, of course, up to you! We will be passing through villages with very special local foods for your lunch, so you can buy what you prefer.
And don't worry about trying to carry all your luggage on your bike. This will be taken from hotel to hotel in our cars, ready for you when you arrive each evening. The distance we cover each day will depend on the kind of countryside we're traveling through, so you'll never get too tired. Our routes are carefully planned to include many places of interest, with frequent breaks to enjoy a coffee, a tour of an old castle, or a rest by the side of a lake.
Accommodation is arranged for you in good-quality 3-star hotels. Experience has taught us that this is the standard most people prefer on our holidays. Our prices are per person, based on sharing a twin room, but single accommodation is available for a small extra payment at the time of booking. There is a choice of breakfasts, from tea and fruit to complete cooked breakfasts, and, similarly, in the evenings, you can help yourself from a buffet or go for the set menu.
In order to keep the groups friendly and safe on the roads, we set a limit on the number of people on a holiday. This varies to some extent depending on the landscape and road types being used on any particular holiday, but we don't run holidays with fewer than six guests or more than fifteen. In addition to this, we set a limit of no more than five children in any group, and they must be accompanied by at least one parent. We also hope you will understand that these holidays aren't suitable for children under the age of fourteen.

Dream Job
Since 1969, Mark Harris has worked for a well-known toy manufacturer designing cars. When he started, he was the only man in the department, but now he is in charge of a team of 35 designers.
Mark first got interested in cars during his teens. His dad was a football coach and one day he took a car magazine away from one of his players during a practice session. He brought it home and gave it to Mark. From that moment on, cars became the love of Mark's life. He went on to study car design at university and then worked for a car company designing actual cars, before being persuaded by a friend to join the toy company and set up their design department.
Of all the cars he has designed, his favorite is the Silver Sunrise. It may not have achieved such high sales as some other cars, but it is important to Mark because it was the first time he was allowed to make a model that looked like a real car. "Before that, the wheels on all the cars stuck out so they would go straight," explained Mark. "The Silver Sunrise was the first one where the wheels were under the body. It meant it didn't work so well on a race track but it looked amazing."
Now in his 60s, Mark is approaching retirement. He finds it hard to imagine what that will be like. "I have expensive hobbies, so it might be difficult to continue with them when I am no longer earning! Plus, I like coming in to work. Ideally, I'd like to retire part-time and work part-time."

My name's Martin Cabello and I'm a young photographer. Taking photographs was always my favorite activity as a child. And when I was 15, I felt that if I wanted to take my hobby to the next level, I had to do something special. So I decided to start a personal project: I would take one photograph every day for a whole year of my life. I knew that many other young photographers before me had done the same thing, but it seemed like a really great idea, and so I started.
After a few weeks, I decided to put these photos onto a website for young photographers because I was keen to create a photo diary, and also to have the chance to show other people my photos. I was amazed to discover that there were others who liked the way I saw and photographed things. I was also enjoying photographing a wide range of subjects. Then someone suggested that if my photographs all had a common topic or idea to connect them, my project would be even better and I agreed.
So I began to concentrate more on taking photos of nature scenes, especially of birds and the sky. A lot of them were black and white photographs, which was very different from what many other young photographers were doing — they were all taking color photos. As a result, I sometimes had doubts about my project, and I almost gave up several times. In the end, however, I trusted my own feelings and became more confident about my photographic styles and choices.
One day I showed my project to my art teacher at school. She told me about a national photography competition for people my age. So I entered some of my photos, just for fun. I'll never forget the moment when the judges told me that I had won first prize; I was so happy, as my project meant so much to me. It was the first time I realized that maybe my photography really was good and that I might actually be able to work as a professional photographer. I now have my own photography studio and I've never regretted my career choice.
Martin started his project because he wanted to _____
