Once upon a time, there was a monkey and a crocodile. They lived near a big river. The monkey liked to eat sweet fruits from the trees. One day, the crocodile saw the monkey and wanted to be his friend. "Come with me to the other side of the river," said the crocodile. The monkey agreed and climbed onto the crocodile's back. Halfway across the river, the crocodile said, "I want to eat your heart." The monkey was scared, but he had an idea. "Oh no! I left my heart in the tree!" he said. The crocodile swam back to the tree. The monkey quickly climbed up the tree and stayed safe. The crocodile felt very silly.
