Energy is very important in our lives today. People use energy to run machines, heat and cool their homes, cook, give light, transport people and products from place to place. There are different sources of energy, such as fossil fuels, renewable energy, and nuclear power.
Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas have been the primary sources of energy for many years. But burning these fuels causes pollution. That's why there is a growing focus on renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. These sources are clean, sustainable, and do not reduce natural resources. Solar energy uses the sun's power to make electricity. Wind energy uses the wind to make power with big windmills. Hydroelectric power gets electricity from moving water. These kinds of energy are good because they help stop pollution, make us less dependent on others for energy, and create jobs.
Energy is used to operate a lot of electrical appliances.
Fossil fuels have been the main supply of energy for people recently.
There is an increasing emphasis on nuclear, wind, and hydroelectric power.
