Anna: Hey, Jake! You look really frustrated. What happened?

Jake: Ugh, I just got my history test results. I tried to  all the dates by rote, but I still forgot most of them!

School wasn’t always the  and exciting place I had hoped it would be. The constant competition for top students created a stressful atmosphere, and I often felt like I was just learning facts by  without truly understanding them.
