Halloween is a festival celebrated in many countries, especially in Western countries. It takes place on October 31st. In Halloween, people hollow out the pumpkins, carve scary faces, and place a candle inside. Children and adults dress up in costumes which are their favorite characters. Children go door-to-door saying, "Trick or treat!" to collect candy from their neighbors. People also decorate their homes with spooky symbols like ghosts and skeletons to ward off spirits.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a significant festival in India and other countries with Hindu populations. It usually falls in October or November and lasts for five days. It is celebrated to mark the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. People decorate everything with colorful lights and patterns. Families have feast together and take part in folk dances or parades with decorated floats. Diwali is considered as a symbol of prosperity and joy. It is as important to Hindus as the Christmas is to Christians.

Each festival has different cultural values but it is not disappointing when participating.
