Read the text and decide if the following statements are true or false.

Last week, a powerful storm struck the coastal town of Oceanview. The disaster took place suddenly on the night of October 20th, so everyone cannot predict its intensity. The storm brought heavy rain, strong winds, and lightning. It destroyed many homes in the area, and numerous properties suffered severe damage. Trees were uprooted, power lines were knocked down, and some buildings suffered structural harm. Many roads were flooded. This caused traffic disruptions and made it difficult for emergency services to reach affected areas.

Local authorities quickly responded to the emergency. They made plans to move people from flood-prone areas and quickly set up safe places for them to stay temporarily. Although the situation was pretty serious, the disaster showed how strong the community was. Volunteers and rescue workers joined together to help victims of the storm. Neighbors offered support to each other, and many worked to clean up after the storm. The town's leaders also worked really hard to fix things and bring back services. It's important for the leaders to keep warning residents about what can happen and give them instructions to deal with each weather condition even it is a storm, an earthquake or a tsunami.

Residents in the coastal town of Oceanview prepared to deal with the storm well in advance.

Accessing the affected regions faced difficulties due to flooded roads.

The local officials were slow in responding to the emergency situation.

People from flood-prone areas set up temporary accommodation themselves.

The townspeople joined hands to clean up the town after the storm.
