It's unreasonable to think that kids will fall behind if they don't use computers from a young age. No one has shown that electronic devices make kids smarter or more creative. In fact, too much screen time can have negative effects on children's health.

Spending hours on electronic devices can lead to eye strain and headaches. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, excessive screen time can also result in behavioral issues and anxiety. Children may become less active, which can result in weight gain and other health issues. About 18% of children are now considered overweight or obese due to excessive screen time.

Additionally, when kids focus on screens, they miss important social interactions. Engaging in face-to-face communication helps children develop essential skills like empathy and cooperation. Without these interactions, they may struggle to read facial expressions and understand social signals. This leads to feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Moreover, electronic devices can affect sleep. Many children use tablets or phones before bed, which can make it hard to fall asleep. A study found that 20% of children aged 6 to 18 reported sleep problems related to screen use.
