The businessman
There is a story going round at the moment about a well-known journalist who went to interview Jack Parrish at a smart New York restaurant. The journalist was late, but fortunately, when he arrived, he found the great man was not yet there. On the way to his table, the journalist noticed a colleague from his paper and stopped to chat to her. After fifteen minutes, a waiter approached him. "There's a young man at the door who says he's supposed to be having lunch with you. I think he's trying to be funny because he says his name is Jack Parrish!"
But of course, it was. The twenty-four-year-old is becoming famous for the fact that he doesn't look like the owner of one of the world's most successful computer companies. His manner is polite, his voice is quiet and his clothes are clearly not expensive. Two years ago, when he started his own company, no one had heard of him. Friends say that he hasn't changed at all. He hasn't even moved out of his parents' house. So what does he do with his money? It's all used for business. But some people in the computer world are getting nervous - and they are right. It won't be long before someone in another company picks up the phone to hear that quiet voice saying that he's the new boss.

The Northern Lights in Iceland
What's the most exciting holiday you've ever been on? For me, it was a trip to Iceland with my family to see the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights - strange, different-colored lights that can appear in the night sky. I first became interested in the Northern Lights after watching an amazing video years ago. And now I finally had the chance.
I knew we might not be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights during our visit. But I'd also read that people have a better chance if they find a place with totally dark skies. As a result, going to Iceland during its long, dark winter months seemed a great idea, as there'd be very little sunlight. So that meant temperatures could easily fall to well below zero, which would be difficult to cope with.
However, we weren't going to let any of that spoil our trip. Dad decided it was best to go far away from any cities and stay in the countryside. Anyway, after a long search on the internet, we finally found a hotel miles from anywhere, where the night sky was so dark that we could hardly see anything at all outside!
But then one evening, we suddenly saw the most amazing display of colorful dancing lights in the sky - white, green, and even purple in some places. I managed to take some videos even though my hands were almost too cold to operate the camera. So now I have a record of one of the most amazing experiences of my life. And the bonus is that I've visited a really beautiful country, too.

Robots
Robots can work in places humans can't easily (0) get to. These include deep oceans, on planets or on sites with bad pollution. Robots are also used in factories they can work more quickly and accurately than a human, and without needing to rest.
Improvements in technology over the past 50 years have meant that scientists are now able to create very clever robots. The most complicated of these can make for themselves, learn new things, and with problems. However, while robots that look like people are very common in science fiction films, they are very in real life. Making a machine that can balance and move on two legs is a real and is unnecessary for most of the jobs we need robots to do for us. However, a Japanese robot known as Asimo does walk on two legs and can even climb up and downstairs.

Emergency Services
There are many types of emergency services, but the three main are the police, fire and ambulance. If you need any of these services in the United Kingdom, you to dial 999 and tell the operator what service you want. The operator will then put you through to the control room for that service. All the emergency services operate 24 a day, 7 days a week.
Whatever service you request, their aim is to get to the scene of the emergency within 8 minutes. Sometimes this is possible especially if the situation is in the middle of the countryside, far from the city. emergency service has their own special vehicles with all the equipment they need. They are all trained to drive at very fast speeds very safely. This includes driving red lights.
