- How do you think children can be encouraged to read more?
Câu trả lời ví dụ và từ vựng có thể dùng:
- What are the most popular types of children’s books in your country?
I would say it’s a toss-up between fantasy and realistic fiction. Fantasy is a genre filled with stories that are full of impossible things that could not take place in reality, such as magic and talking animals, often set in a different world or universe. This genre actively develops the reader’s imagination through its world-building. Reality fiction, ^ on the other hand, is firmly rooted in reality so requires less of an active connection to the imagination. The stories are still fictitious, but they could happen to anyone as the plots deal with events such as falling in love, work, and addiction.
- Do you think children who read a lot will be more successful?
Definitely. I guess you probably know the saying that today a reader, tomorrow a leader. Children who read intensively from a very young age will cultivate this healthy habit and carry it over into their adulthood. As a result, they tend to be better-informed and wiser than their nonreader counterparts. It has been scientifically proved that reading can foster children’s cognitive and emotional development so without a doubt, avid/ keen readers will possess more advanced critical thinking skills and a significantly higher level of emotional intelligence, which are key factors of success.
- What kind of books are considered good reads in your opinion?
I believe books that are suitable for a reader’s age and do not contain any hate speech or offensive materials are a good choice. Generally speaking, if a book can grab readers’ interest, makes them think, or helps them learn something new then it is a good read. For me, a captivating story and character development in it are always key indicators for a good read. However, I often enjoy books simply because they are educative and are based on real events.

Question: Describe your favorite movie.
You should say:
- When and where you saw it
- What type of film it was
- What the film was about
- And explain why it is your favorite film
When it comes to my favorite movie, off the top of my head, I would say it’s Mad Max: Fury Road. It is the sequel of the Mad Max series and starred Hollywood A-list movie stars namely Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult.
Actually, this movie was released in 2015 but it was not until 2 years ago that I first watched it. One of my best friends, Trinh, recommended this movie to me, saying that it was truly a masterpiece.
The movie was set in post-apocalyptic moments when Max, played by Tom Hardy, is captured by a strange group of people led by a tyrannical ruler named Immortan Joe. Later on, he joins Joe’s lieutenant named Furiosa who rebels against him in search of her homeland with the aid of Joe’s seven wives
Due to the enormous success of the previous sequels, Mad Max: Fury Road was one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2015. Therefore, loads of people flocked to the cinema in order to catch this action-packed movie. And it didn’t disappoint the loyal fans of this franchise. Apart from being a box office hit all around the world, the movie was also critically acclaimed for distinctive editing and stunning images. It has topped the list of “best movies of the 2010s” on numerous movie review websites and is considered to redefine what it means to be an action blockbuster.
Regarding my feelings about this movie, I have to admit that this film really pleased my eyes with its breathtaking visual and sound effects right from the first few moments. What sets Mad Max: Fury Road apart from the previous Mad Max film and other action movies is that it champions feminism and shows the necessity of freedom from patriarchy, which is generally not the case with most action movies.

PART 3

Vài câu trả lời mẫu và từ vựng đi kèm:
- What kinds of movies are popular these days? Why do you think they are popular?
I’ve noticed that individuals of all ages continue to watch cartoons, which many perceive to be a children’s genre. Animation films are a lot of fun to watch and can make us laugh so hard that we forget about our problems. Another thing is that sports channels are quite popular among men.
- Do you think (watching) films have (has) educational benefits?
I think films can be an integral part of education, just not in the traditional sense. Through films, we enable people to learn visually, which can be beneficial to people who simply do not work well with books. We create empathy, show a different perspective, or give insight into a character’s life or a different place in the world. As a teaching aid, people will probably respond better to a film than a text as it will hold their attention better. Even if a film is not educational at its core, you can use subtitles to improve reading and literacy skills, and with the multitude of books turning into films nowadays I think it makes it easier for people to be moved to read the book after watching an entertaining film.
- What can we learn from watching movies?
Movies are inspirational and teach us lessons that are useful to us. When you see an ordinary person turn into a hero, the audience will do the same in their daily lives. The movie also helps us understand how sacred it is to enjoy some of the very rare moments when unrestrained good laughter is unleashed. Well, that’s what a good comedy can do.

PART 1
Câu hỏi thường gặp cho thí sinh:
- What kind of paintings do people like?
- What is your favorite color?
- Do you often visit museums?
- What benefits can you get from painting as a hobby?
- Is it easy to learn how to draw?
Một vài câu trả lời mẫu và từ vựng:
- Are you good at art?
Not at all. I'm quite a clumsy person so I always mess up whatever art project I'm working on. This is especially true for crafts, drawing, and other types of art.
- What kind of paintings do people like?
From my observation, most people enjoy hanging pictures of natural landscapes on the walls of their homes. Looking at the spectacular views of rocky mountains, or the breezy and sparkling river flow, can create a sense of well-being and peacefulness. Others, however, are more into portraits, whether of themselves or their beloved ones.
- What is your favorite color?
I have to say icy blue. I don't know why but this color always makes me feel so refreshed every time I look at it. My guess is that it reminds me of the ocean so when I look at the color I just imagine myself immersed in the sea.

- Describe an art gallery that you visited
- Describe a piece of art (a painting, drawing, sculpture or decorative object) that you like
- Describe a painting or work of art that you have seen
Câu trả lời ví dụ cùng từ vựng gợi ý:
Question: Describe an art gallery that you visited
You should say:
- When you saw this exhibition
- Where it was held
- What was on display
- And explain your impression of the exhibition.
I would like to talk about the time I visited an interactive art gallery. Last year’s spring break I had some time to spare so I asked my friends out and after a bit of thought, we decided to visit the Artinus 3D Art Museum, which was located in a secluded area of district 7. This place was known to be one of the first 3D art exhibitions in HCM city, displaying hundreds of illusion artworks created by exceptional Korean artists.
As for what was on display, there was a wide range of 3D paintings in various colors. The categories spread from the wildlife world, ancient Egypt, and Renaissance art to natural landscapes. But what made the place distinctively different from others was the excellent use of perspective figures to create a such mind-blowing optical illusion so that visitors can step inside the artworks and be part of the stunning 3D scenes.
From being trapped in a small bottle of water, floating on the big ocean to fighting dragons, every inch of the oil painting was amazingly realistic. We were thrilled to bits to lay our eyes on the artworks and took some amazing photos of us interacting with them. We even held a small competition for whoever came up with the funniest postures with the paintings, winning a prize of 500 thousand dongs.
It was truly an out-of-this-world experience for all of us since we could see all the paintings brought to life. With an affordable entrance fee of $9 – $13, I think the Artimus 3D Art Museum is suitable for all ages, who wish to seek a place to appreciate extraordinary artworks, as well as to spend some quality time with their friends and families.

PART 3
Một số câu hỏi có thể xuất hiện trong phần này:
- Do you think art classes are necessary? (Why?)
- What are some traditional art forms in your country?
- What makes a good painting?
- How has art changed in the last few decades in your country?
- How do you think art classes affect children’s development?
- Why does art help to nurture creativity?
- Do you think that art is as important as academic subjects when it comes to educating children?
- Why do you think some people enjoy looking at paintings and sculptures and others do not?
Ví dụ một vài câu trả lời cho phần này:
- Do you think art classes are necessary? (Why?)
Well, I do think having art classes is a must in school curriculums. As I can see, most children take pleasure in drawing and coloring as they gravitate toward things that are full of colors. Drawing isn’t just a way for children to let off some steam after struggling with heavy schoolwork, but it also enables them to fire their imagination, thus improving their cognitive development. When most children today are cast into the same mold, it is even more crucial to encourage them to think outside of the box and put those brilliant ideas down on paper.
- What are some traditional art forms in your country?
Regarding picture drawing, silk painting can be considered to be one of the most widely-known forms of art in Vietnam. These unique artworks on silk canvas have been around for thousands of years and are of immense traditional and aesthetic value. But that is not it. Vietnam is also known for other forms of art such as pottery, calligraphy, sculpture, and traditional music, a lot of which have been recognized as the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
- What makes a good painting?
As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, meaning that not everyone has the same definition of what is beautiful and what is not. However, I believe there are things all the greatest masterpieces have in common. To me, what makes the success of a painting is that its composition, color, and subject matter all work in accordance with one another to deliver a consolidated and well-executed artwork. As long as it can interpret the artists’ ideas, I believe it is a beautiful work of art.
