Câu điều kiện loại 1 được dùng để diễn đạt điều có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai. Cấu trúc:
If + S + V(hiện tại đơn), S + will/can/shall…… + V + …
E.g.: If the weather is nice, I will go swimming tomorrow.

II. Unless = If ...not ...
Khi mệnh đề điều kiện viết ở thể phủ định, ta có thể dùng Unless thay thế cho "If ...not ...".
E.g.:
You will be sick if you do not stop eating. ~ You'll be sick unless you stop eating.
